In Conversation Live with Tracy Edwards MBE

Tracy Edwards MBE joining Henrietta Bowden-Jones for a tantalising discussion on how she went from rebel schoolgirl to record-breaking female sailor, the harsh reality in the Whitbread (Round the World Race), motivational speaking, The Maiden Factor, and the equality of women through the education of girls.

Tracy Edwards is known for putting together a record-breaking all-female crew and inspiring a generation of women when they raced around the world in 1989/90 in her yacht, Maiden. They produced the best result for a British boat since 1977, which still stands to this day. Tracy was awarded the MBE and became the first woman in its 34 year history to be awarded the Yachtsman of the Year Trophy. She founded The Maiden Factor, a charity that works with and supports communities around the world to ensure girls have access to education.
