“Professor Henrietta Bowden-Jones, Founder and Director of CNWL’s National Centre for Behavioural Addictions, has been appointed Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London; covering Kensington and Chelsea, alongside The Rt Hon The Earl Cadogan.

Deputy Lieutenants (DLs) are distinguished residents who either have served the local community, or have a history of service in other fields. They are appointed by the Lord-Lieutenant and support the Monarch and the Royal Family in Greater London, acting as a bridge-builder, connecting individuals, organisations and social networks, to enhance Londoners’ sense of belonging and increase social inclusion within the capital. It is a voluntary, unpaid position.
